Interview excerpts:

Miriam’s career experiences reshaped her perception of her role in the world.

I think the biggest lesson I learned in that was, as I responded to the world, it wasn't about fixing or changing the world. It was about playing my part. Any fixing or changing was about me... was about the way I responded to things and how I saw myself. And I think that also influences me in this body of our work and our work with leaders.

The mystery of the animating spirit is what drives us to create, express and engage in life.

All we can say is that there's some other force that we don't know anything about yet, and that's what animating spirit is. So, even before a vision statement, even before, of course, a mission statement, even before you do anything, even before you can even translate the idea into a breath and call it something, there is this animating spirit. We and many other people around the world are finding many different ways to connect to that force.

The ‘unknown’ is different for all of us! The retreats are designed to explore this on an individual basis.

That ‘edge’ could be in different places. For some, just actually coming to something like this is an ‘edge’ and actually staying in a cabin is an ‘edge’.  For some, it’s going right out into the hills. One of the reasons that Open Circle, is that we work with you on what that ‘edge’ is. It isn’t about getting what we think it is. It’s about getting to your ‘edge’ and stepping into the unknown.
