Gala Narezo

Coach, Facilitator and Trainer

I am a facilitator, educator, activist and mindfulness instructor who is committed to mindful change-making. In my groups I use storytelling, mindfulness, art and circle practice as guiding principles. I have collaborated with a variety of amazing partners on transformational education through awareness campaigns, public art, curricula, participatory projects and transformational media.

I have studied meditation, contemplative and healing practices, breath and body work and life cycle traditions from the perspectives of Taosim, Hinduism, Buddhism, Qi Gong, Chinese martial arts, Yoga, Pranayama, and Mesoamerican cosmology. I am continually looking for ways to incorporate meditation, healing rituals and reflective practices into everyday life to facilitate growth and thriving.

My masters degree in art education focused on incorporating mindfulness to expand educational frameworks and offerings. My work in art education combines reflective practices, creativity, and social change to design transformational curricula and processes.

My Mexican-American heritage has given me the gift of calling both New York City and Mexico City home. Much of my teaching is based in Tibetan Buddhist traditions and Mesoamerican Curanderismo practices. I have learned from many teachers who I am deeply grateful to and for.
